While mining for vilum, which ultimately drove them crazy, the giants discovered something horrific in the depths of the mountain. It was Njodhett – the creation of the ancient world. For thousands of years, the magic seal prevented him from escaping to the surface – but Hrungnir broke the seal when he captured Izergold. Njodhett had liquid vilum and solid granite instead of blood and flesh. I have heard tales about the sacrifices that the giants made hoping to appease Njodhett. All to no avail: the ancient monster banished the giants from their tunnels. It is still there now, but it’s about to get out onto the surface searching for food – and then we are all going to die!

Njodhett wasn't expecting an attack, but fought to his death! The monster is incredibly robust. Besides his powers are fueled by the depths that are full of vilum that serves as the monster’s blood. And how can you kill something that is made of metal and stone? Very soon Njodhett will come back to life – hungry and ruthless! As soon as it happens, we will once again arrange a raid of his lair.

I noted on your map the location of the old mine where the starving Njodhett is prowling about. This mine is an entangled pattern of tunnels, and each tunnel is a new puzzle. You will have to solve them all before you can look for the monster and finish him off!
