Deep underground there lives a giant called Vafthrudnir who once dared to challenge Chernobog. Vafthrudnir realized right away that he could not defeat Chernobog in a fair fight and decided to compete with him trying to solve the mysteries of the gods, people and War Spear. The stake in that game was his own mind, but even though the giant's wisdom was great, he still lost. The shamefaced Vafthrudnir fled to the mountains, where he took refuge in the depths of ice caves. There he was overtaken by dark madness. The mad giant has long lost control of his own desires and thoughts, and therefore he is very dangerous. We will have to kill him to keep this part of the island safe.

Vafthrudnir rose from the dead, and it is all because of the evil spell cast by Chernobog, who yearns to make agony of the shamefaced enemy last for eternity! I am sad to admit it, but until we find another way to heal Vafthrudnir's mind, we will have to kill the giant again and again. So far this is the only way we can stop his suffering, even for a little while... But if we can find a way to rid Vafthrudnir of his madness, perhaps he can suggest a way we could defeat Chernobog?

Finding Vafthrudnir will not be easy, because the refuge where he is hiding, consists of many caves. If you can pass through each of them, you will find a way to Vafthrudnir.
