The adepts of our order were gifted in their comprehension of alchemy and necromancy, but Tottenhoff was ahead of them all. I think that for the first stage of the Great Work-Nigredo-he chose the Black Mound. Nigredo means death and decay, its color is black. However, darkness brings not only torment, but also peace, which is what the sick need. Nigredo's symbol is the black raven, born from Raven’s Agate.
