Grunland used to be famous for its alchemists, but the Green Sickness changed everything. Some of the masters thought it expedient to flee the island, abandoning their laboratories, and many others fell victim to the epidemic. It seems as though this is the fate that befell the hermit alchemists, who conducted their secret experiments away from prying eyes. Now their laboratories are filled with the gruesome results. But in their crucibles remains a valuable alloy our doctors are in desperate need of to create an antidote. Retrieve this alloy from the laboratories if you can. To enter a laboratory, you need the Alchemist’s Amulet from the Skull Casket.

No one knows what happened to the missing hermit, but every morning more of the philosophical alloy can be found in his crucibles, as if someone was clandestinely adding coal and metal to them every night. Will we ever find an answer to this mystery? It is doubtful.

Enter one of the abandoned laboratories using the Alchemist's Amulet from the Skull Casket. They are brimming with strange creatures brought to life by alchemical experiments, but even more dangerous than they are the faulty teleport with which the hermit connected his laboratories. If you are lucky, the teleport will rematerialize you in a small laboratory with a crucible inside containing our precious philosophical alloy.
