Totenhof needs more and more metal with every passing day. He tasked his servants with building smelting vats all over Grunland. The living dead make poor metalworkers, though: all metal that they used to have ended up in the vats. We should make sure that Totenhof gets none of the alloys in those smelters. Why waste good metal? Our smiths will find a better use for it. It shouldn’t be all that difficult for you to procure some steel from those vats.

For now our craftsmen got enough steel to fix the leaks in the alchemists’ equipment. However, we’ll need to resupply them in short order. Fortunately, Totenhof’s minions aren’t giving up their smelting enterprise any time soon.

Add some coal to increase the pressure inside the vat. When the lid blows off, the molten metal will explode in a shower of large drops. Collect liquid steel before it hardens!
