Totenhof needs more and more metal with every passing day. He tasked his servants with building smelting vats all over Grunland. But the living dead make poor metalworkers – all the metal that they used to have ended up in the vats. We need to ensure that Totenhof gets none of the alloys in those smelters. Why waste good metal? Our smiths will find a better use for it. It should not be all that difficult for you to procure some cast iron from those vats.

For now, our craftsmen have enough cast iron to fix the leaks in the alchemists’ worn out equipment. However, we will need to resupply them in short order. Fortunately, Totenhof’s minions have no plans to give up their smelting enterprise any time soon.

Add some coal to increase the pressure inside the vat. When the lid blows off, the molten metal will explode in a shower of large drops. Collect the liquid cast iron before it hardens!
